Björn Gaul has extensive experience advising national and international companies on restructuring and change management processes. This includes, above all, transactions, workforce reductions, the implementation of international matrix structures, handling outsourcing, changes to collective bargaining agreements, as well as the introduction and adaptation of flexible working models. In addition, he advises on the implementation of internal and external IT systems, the adjustment of remuneration structures, the flexibilization of working hours, as well as the establishment and further development of compliance and whistleblower systems.
Another focus of Björn's work is the design of frameworks for the introduction of AI in the HR sector, as well as advising boards of directors, management, and supervisory boards on questions of workplace co-determination, European Works Councils, and the establishment/adaptation of European Companies (SE). In addition to his advisory work, he is serving as chair of a supervisory board in the logistics sector for many years.
Björn Gaul is a certified labor law specialist and has been a partner since 2000. He leads cross-industry working groups for labor law and HR management in companies, is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, co-chair of the Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), member of the Labor Law Committee of the DAV, member of the ABA and the EELA. He also teaches as an extraordinary professor at the University of Cologne with venia legendi for civil law, commercial law, labor and employment law.
