Dr Carl-Friedrich Thoma focusses on transactions, advising large medium-sized companies as well as corporate groups and strategic investors on the acquisition and sale of companies in Germany and abroad, including corporate law structuring. He also advises on group law.

Carl-Friedrich started his legal career in 2021 at a boutique corporate law firm in Hamburg and joined CMS in 2022. During his PhD studies, he worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg.
