Christian Zielonka advises corporations and medium-sized companies on national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructurings, primarily in the industrial and automotive sectors. In addition, Christian Zielonka advises clients in connection with post-M&A disputes.

He has special expertise in matters involving the question of attribution of knowledge of certain individuals or other knowledge available in the target company which may lead to liability exceeding the contractual liability regime and agreed limitations of liability. An expertise of which Christian Zielonka can make use of when advising his clients on transactions to avoid liability cases and post-M&A disputes.

Christian Zielonka joined CMS in 2012 and has been a Principal Counsel since 2023. His international perspective is, in particular, supported by a one-year Maîtrise en Droit degree obtained at the Paul Cézanne University, Aix-en-Provence, a research stay as a Visiting Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at the University of Cambridge while working on his PhD in international investment protection law, as well as a six-month secondment to CMS Francis Lefebvre, Paris.
