With a focus on project, real estate, acquisition and asset finance, Marc Riede advises German and international banks, leasing companies and investors on financing and leasing transactions. His expertise is also regularly sought after in the context of the sale of performing and non-performing loans as well as the restructuring of finance transactions.
Marc has specific infrastructure and energy sector expertise (conventional and renewable energy) and has advised on financing numerous power stations, onshore and offshore wind farms as well as photovoltaic power plants. He is also well known for his asset finance work, in particular in the rolling stock market and shipping industry. Marc is often recommended in law firm guides as a leading finance lawyer.
After having worked for three years as a management assistant at the University of Hamburg‘s Institute for Trade, Shipping and Business Law, Marc joined CMS in 1990. He became a partner in 1992 and was instrumental in setting up our office in Leipzig. In 1993, he was also seconded to a law firm in New York.
