Patrick Ehinger is a member of the CMS Media Group (JUVE, Chambers and Legal 500 Tier 1 Rank). He specialises in European media and copyright law, new digital business models and the regulation of online platforms and services.
His areas of focus include the acquisition and exploitation of digital rights and licences as well as the representation of clients in complex copyright and media law proceedings, including preliminary injunction proceedings. He also advises on all regulatory matters relating to AI, European media regulation and e-commerce, with a focus on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and online safety regulation.
Patrick Ehinger regularly advises leading international technology companies. He often serves clients in the games and esports industry as well as in the streaming and social media sectors. He is Co-Head of the CMS Global Games Group, a cross-jurisdictional practice group specialising in the games sector.
Patrick Ehinger joined CMS in 2016, having previously practised as a lawyer at a US law firm. The firm appointed him Counsel in 2023.
