CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre announces the appointment of four new partners: Alexandre Delhaye, Caroline Froger-Michon, Frédéric Gerner and Claire Vannini.

The firm now has 103 partners out of a total of 380 lawyers.

Alexandre Delhaye, 40, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s Corporate/M&A department in 2001 after working in the M&A department at Gide Loyrette Nouel.

Specialising in corporate law and Corporate/M&A, he handles all matters relating to national and transnational transactional operations (M&A, joint ventures, private equity, management packages), complex group restructuring and reorganisation projects, governance, management personnel and shareholder relations.

He is a graduate of ESCEM (1995) and University of Warwick (Great Britain, 1997) and holds a post-graduate degree in corporate legal advice (DJCE) and a post-graduate degree (DESS) in business law and taxation (Poitiers, 1999). He was also secretary of the Conférence du Stage du Barreau des Hauts-de-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine bar apprenticeship conference) in 2005.

Caroline Froger-Michon, 38, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s Employment and Pensions department in 2003. She previously worked at Gide Loyrette Nouel and at the English firm Alan Edwards & Co.

She works primarily for large French and international groups in a wide variety of sectors. In particular, her expertise covers restructuring (employment contract transfers, adaptation of collective statutes, organisation of procedures, mass redundancies, expert assessments), ethics charters and whistleblowing procedures, and international mobility (secondment/expatriation). She also advises foreign firms on their establishment in France, their acquisition projects, and their everyday labour law issues.

She holds a post-graduate degree in public and private business law, a master’s degree of business law, and a post-graduate diploma (DEA) in private law (Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1999).

Frederic Gerner, 39, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s tax department in 1999 and was seconded to the firm’s New York office from June 1999 to September 2000.

Specialising in taxation, he works on restructuring, tax consolidation, and, more generally, taxation of French and international groups.
He also handles tax issues in the real estate sector as counsel for developers, real estate subsidiaries of large banks, and publicly traded real estate investment companies (SIIC), which he has assisted in acquisition and restructuring as well as in tax litigation and proceedings with the French tax legislation office.

A graduate of HEC (1997), he holds a post-graduate degree (DESS) in business law and taxation (Paris II, 1998).

Claire Vannini, 39, joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s Competition and EU Law department in 2002.

Specialising in EU and competition law, she has developed specific expertise in State aid and issues related to the public sector and network industries (particularly rail transport).

She has a broad range of experience in advice and litigation, at the national level and before European courts (CJEU, ECHR). She also works on institutional actions with public authorities and European institutions in connection with competition and regulatory issues.

She is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Public Service, 1999) and holds a post-graduate degree (DESS) in public law (Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, 2000).

She is also a member of the AFEC.
