CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre appoints two new members of its Supervisory Board

At the ordinary general meeting of 30 June 2010, the partners of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre appointed two new members of the firm's Supervisory Board for a period of three years: Christophe Lefaillet and Laurent Mion.

They will sit alongside Richard Foissac (President of the Supervisory Board), Jacqueline Sollier (Vice-President of the Supervisory Board), François Charpail, François Hellio and Laurent Marquet de Vasselot, whose mandate will continue until June 2010.

The new members replace Philippe Grousset and Philippe Tournès, whose mandates had expired.

Christophe Lefaillet, Partner Christophe Lefaillet joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 1989, becoming a partner in 2005. He holds at DESS postgraduate degree in business law (DJCE Montpellier, 1987) and certificates of specialisation in company law and tax law. Specialising in company and stockmarket law, he deals with all transactional issues relating to M&A and restructures for listed and unlisted companies. This includes: drafting deeds and documentation, assisting with negotiations, acquisitions, business transfers and joint ventures, shareholders' agreements, French and international restructures (mergers, asset transfers etc), financing arrangements (equity transactions, MBOs, MBIs), private equity, legal due diligence, data rooms and IPOs. He also practises in the law of associations, dealing with ongoing management and exceptional operations.

Laurent Mion, Partner Laurent Mion joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 1986, becoming a partner in 1998. Holding a two-year Masters degree in business law from Montpellier University (1986), he lectures at University of Paris I (Panthéon Sorbonne). Specialising in commercial law, his practice focusses on banking and insurance law, covering all operations and the full range of financial and banking regulations. This includes: regulation of credit establishments, investment service providers and insurance companies, bank finance and treasury services; implementation of guarantees, securitisation, structured finance, financial products, life insurance, general insurance, health insurance, reinsurance, over the counter or exchange traded products; acquisition finance, project finance and asset finance, restructures and rescheduling of debt, banking litigation. He is also a member of the French association of business counsel (ACE).
