CMS Francis Lefebvre has advised IDIA Capital Investissement and Crédit Agricole Régions Investissement on their acquisition of a minority stake in Dammann Frères, one of France's oldest tea houses. The company specialises in the import, production and sale of teas, infusions and accessories, and has traditionally distributed its products to cafés, hotels, restaurants and luxury grocery shops in France. The company - majority-owned by the Italian group Illy, via the Polo Del Gusto holding company - generated sales of 40 million euros in 2022.
This transaction illustrates the Crédit Agricole Group's commitment to supporting the transition towards a competitive, more sustainable and ethical agri-food system.
