Kate is an Associate in the CMS Transactions Team based in Scotland. Since joining in September 2022, she has advised on M&A, group restructurings, venture capital and private equity investments, joint ventures, disposals and corporate governance matters. She acts for corporates, financial sponsors, management teams and individual shareholders across a broad range of sectors, including energy, life sciences and technology.

Kate helps clients navigate complex transactions and corporate structures, providing commercially focused advice tailored to their strategic objectives. Whether guiding founders through their first funding round or supporting established businesses on cross-border disposals, she is committed to delivering clear, pragmatic counsel that keeps deals on track.

  • On the loan note debt restructuring and subsequent sale of an oil and gas services company to Enersol, a joint venture between ADNOC Drilling and Alpha Dhabi Holdings.
  • Interactive Strength Inc. (NASDAQ: TRNR) on its acquisition of Wattbike, the British indoor cycling brand.
  • EnteroBiotix, a biopharmaceutical company developing best-in-class microbiome therapies for gut health, on various funding rounds from investors including Thairm Bio and the Scottish National Investment Bank.
  • ICR Integrity Limited on the hive out and subsequent sale of Chemical Injection Utilities Limited to SES Energy, supporting a strategic divestment aligned with ICR's focus on its core service offerings and international growth.
