In the latest Legal 500 UK guide, we achieved 47 Tier 1 rankings. Combining Tier 1 and Tier 2 rankings, we now have the third most rankings of any law firm in the UK.

CMS has been awarded the ISO 30415 Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) certification in the UK, the first law firm to receive this certification.  

CMS has been ranked a top UK employer for social mobility in the seventh Social Mobility Index. 

Created in 2017, the Social Mobility Index is an annual benchmarking tool that helps UK organisations understand how they are performing on social mobility and where they can improve.

CMS has been named a Global Outsourcing 100® company by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®). It is the eighth consecutive year that CMS has achieved this ranking.

The Global Outsourcing 100, now in its 19^th year, is a prestigious annual listing recognising the world's top outsourcing service providers and advisors

CMS awarded European Pensions Law Firm of the Year

The CMS Scottish IP team won two trophies at the Managing IP Awards 2025 ceremony.

The Managing IP Awards programme recognises remarkable intellectual property achievements and developments in the last year.

International law firm CMS won the Most Innovative Use of Technology category at The Lawyer Awards ceremony. The firm was also Commended and Highly Commended in two further categories.

The Lawyer Awards ceremony is a prestigious event celebrating legal excellence in the UK.

CMS won the TMT team of the year category at the British Legal Awards, held on the 27^th of November in London.

The British Legal Awards recognise the outstanding contributions of legal professionals, firms, and teams shaping the landscape of law.

CMS's Energy Storage team won two prestigious awards underlining that it is the market-leading practice in the energy storage sector. The firm was named Law Firm of the Year at the 2024 Energy Storage Awards ceremony, and was subsequently named Legal Adviser of the Year at the Energy Storage Investment Awards 2024.

The Energy Storage Awards 2024 ceremony marks the second year of recognition and celebration of achievements across the European industry.

CMS was named Legal Advisor of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 2024 LaingBuisson Awards Ceremony, held on the 21^st of November in London.

The LaingBuisson Awards recognise businesses that set new standards of excellence in the independent health and social care industry.

CMS was named Private Equity Team of the Year at the 2023 Lawyer Awards ceremony held in London, alongside being Commended and Highly Commended in two further categories.

CMS was named Real Estate Team of the Year at the 2023 Legal Business Awards Ceremony, held in London. CMS was also Highly Commended in the Commercial Litigation Team of the Year category.
