Laura is a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Reinsurance Group, working on instructions arising from the healthcare, social care and life sciences sectors. 

Laura has specialised in clinical negligence claims since qualification in 2014. Since joining CMS in 2019, Laura has worked on instructions from Medical Defence Organisations, dealing with complex medical and dental malpractice claims, Inquest and professional discipline/regulatory instructions and public inquiries. 

Relevant experience

  • On complex high value claims, including amputation, oncology and neurological injury. 
  • A client in relation to giving evidence to the Thirlwall Inquiry. 
  • Clients in relation to giving evidence to the Coroner’s Court as witnesses and Interested Persons.

  • Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
