FCA: Investigation under the Competition Act 1998
FCA is investigating whether the London Stock Exchange Group and the landlord of the LSE data centre building have hindered competition for low latency connectivity services between certain trading venues. To address these concerns, LSEG and the landlord have proposed to offer equal access to the rooftop to others. FCA provisionally considers that the proposals address competition concerns, but has launched a consultation to invite feedback on the matter. Responses are required by 29 September 2025.
