Rebeka is an associate in the Energy, Projects & Construction team at CMS Budapest. Rebeka joined CMS Budapest in 2022 after graduating from Eötvös Loránd University.

At CMS Budapest, she advises clients on matters related to the development of renewable energy projects, licensing and commercial issues in the electricity and gas sectors, as well as related to other commercial and energy regulatory matters. Her experience spans vendor/financing legal due diligence, licensing and regulatory compliance, providing day-to-day legal advice in renewable project development, and drafting PPAs and construction contracts.

Relevant experience

  • Enlight Renewable Energy, an Israeli renewable energy developer, on the acquisition of two separate project companies holding combined small power plant permits of 20 MW and 50 MW (photovoltaic), and various aspects of development support, as well as assisting on the procurement of bank financing and on the development of a battery energy storage system. 
  • A major German OEM on renewable energy initiatives in Hungary, including the development of an on‑site solar plant and drafting the associated on‑site PPA. 
  • Engie, EDF Trading and Trafigura on procuring various trading licences, managing licence withdrawals and managing day-to-day authority filings. 
  • Green Source GmbH on the development of a 49.95 MW photovoltaic (PV) project with a 116 MWh battery storage system in Hungary. The multi‑disciplinary mandate included project development matters and the integration of a battery energy storage system into the existing plant.
  • A major renewable energy investor on preparing a comprehensive legal analysis and recuring regulatory updates on the Hungarian legislative landscape and policy shifts impacting energy investments, with guidance on navigating regulatory hurdles and optimising project structures.
  • Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate, on licensing requirements and compliance frameworks to enable the lawful operation of energy‑related activities.
  • Electron Holding on its energy operations across solar and wind development, construction, trading, on-/off site PPAs, including advice on multiple project developments, including BESS and PV plants.
  • A major energy storage manufacturer/contractor on negotiating and drafting EPC contracts and providing legal guidance on navigating energy regulatory and construction requirements.
