CMS, a top ten international law firm, in conjunction with Germany’s leading weekly newspaper Die Zeit, will host its annual reception in Davos on 22 January. This year the topic is “Challenges and Business Opportunities in the World of Tomorrow”.

The event will include an exclusive discussion with Werner Baumann (Chief Executive Officer of Bayer) and Oliver Bäte (Chief Executive Officer of Allianz). Laura Rudas (Executive Vice President Strategy of Palantir Technologies) will provide insights into how data will drive many of the strategies businesses will adopt to navigate change in the future.

Adding value to the market

Climate change, digital transformation and increasing automation have transformed the world of business. With even more significant changes on the horizon, businesses will have to adopt new, innovative strategies to succeed in the market. With this in mind, many organisations have already started using new technologies, invested in more sustainable processes and in innovative products and platforms.

Pierre-Sébastien Thill, Chairman at CMS, said: “The challenges for businesses are as varied as the solutions that are being tested right now. If companies want to be successful in the future, they need to ensure that they can service the future needs of their clients. With the rapid changes in the economy, businesses cannot just be passive observers. They need to use technology, innovative strategies and the enthusiasm of their people to pave a way for the future success of businesses.”

Attendance of the event is by personal invitation only and will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm CET on Wednesday, 22 January 2020.
