CMS partners with Doctors Without Borders

09/06/2020

CMS is partnering with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders.

The international medical humanitarian organisation provides emergency medical relief in areas affected by crises such as war or natural catastrophes, when people’s lives are threatened and health structures have collapsed or when demographic groups are insufficiently cared for.

Apart from providing tangible medical aid, MSF also advocates for the human rights of refugees, women and children and people whose health and wellbeing are at risk.

MSF’s international and local staff work in around 70 different countries – doctors, midwives, nurses and logistics staff. Their activities are many and varied: they run clinics, build nutritional centres for children, initiate vaccination campaigns and provide refugees with medication, clean drinking water, sanitary facilities and blankets.

MSF provides fast and professional help for people in need, irrespective of their origins, religion or political orientation. The organisation is bound to the principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence. In 1999, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
