BIS has provided an update on Project mBridge, which aims to explore a multi-CBDC platform shared among participating central banks and commercial banks, built on DLT to enable instant cross-border payments and settlement. Project mBridge has reached minimum viable product stage and private sector firms are now invited to propose new solutions and use cases that help develop the platform.
