EBA: Leverage ratio requirements under Article 511 of the CRR

EBA’s report recommends the introduction of a leverage ratio minimum requirement in the EU to mitigate the risk of excessive leverage,. It concludes that the impact of the introduction of a requirement of 3% on the provision of financing by credit institutions would be relatively moderate, while, overall, it should lead to more stable credit institutions.
