ESMA: Report on the 2023 cross-border provision of investment services to retail clients in the EU and EEA

ESMA and national competent authorities have provided this analysis of the cross-border provision of investment services during 2023.  Amongst other matters, it is noted that, compared to 2022, the cross-border market for investment services grew by 1.6% in terms of the number of firms, and by 5% in terms of retail clients, whilst the number of complaints increased by 31%;
