FMLC: Legal issues arising from differences in liquidation periods and central counterparties

FMLC has published the text of a letter it has sent to ESMA in relation to its August 2015 consultation paper, which references and includes a copy of FMLC’s September 2015 paper “Resolving issues of legal uncertainty relating to the recognition and supervision of central counterparties”, published jointly with the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation. The letter states that it would be regrettable were the further consideration of the matters raised in the consultation to delay an equivalence decision.
