CMS advises 85 Degrees Renewable on geothermal energy projects in the Netherlands
CMS has advised 85 Degrees Renewable, as borrower’s counsel, on the project documentation and financing for the development of three geothermal doublets and associated heat networks in Bleiswijk.
The financing comprises an initial EUR 82 million tranche under a financing framework of up to EUR 200 million, provided by Rabobank and ING. The projects will support the delivery of renewable geothermal heat to the greenhouse sector in the region.
CMS advised 85 Degrees Renewable, Foresight Group and Gaia Energy on this transaction. Other advisors involved included Rebel, Stek, QGM and VAD, as well as the deal teams at Rabobank and ING.
The CMS team was led by Jenny Noordermeer and Cecilia van der Weijden and further comprised Laurens Boers, Ya-line Moes, Marcellina Rietvelt, Marco Boudens, Tijl Poen, Alexander IJkelenstam, Femke Stroucken and Mariëlle de Blok.
