CMS assisted property developer Kadans Science Partner with the acquisition of the Shell complex Kessler Park

CMS assisted property developer Kadans Science Partner with the acquisition of the Shell complex Kessler Park in Rijswijk of Shell as seller.

Mixed-use development
The building consists of approximately 63,000 gross floor area and is currently no longer in use by Shell. The building will be redeveloped by Kadans to mixed-use functions, including residential construction. A part of the complex is leased out to TNO.

Due diligence and negotiating
Besides due diligence works and negotiating the sale and purchase documentation, CMS also assisted with the financing side of the transaction and therefore with vesting securities.

On behalf of CMS' Sector Group Real Estate & Construction Roos van der Zaag, Alexander IJkelenstam, Fieke van Berkel, Marielle de Blok, Jan Peter IJspeert and Hein van der Meer were involved. With regard to the financing side and vesting securities Jan Joris van Kampen, Jenny Noordermeer, Giulia Wientjes and Eduard Scheenstra of our Practice Group Banking & Finance were involved.

In this transaction, Shell was assisted by De Brauw and CBRE. Lender ABN AMRO was assisted by Loyens & Loeff.
