Richad Majid, Senior Associate for Lusophone Africa at CMS Portugal, and Silvino Domingos, Partner at CMS LBR, discuss in an opinion piece in the newspaper Expansão the importance of collective bargaining for labor stability and the sustainable growth of companies in Angola, in light of the current legal framework.
According to the two lawyers: “Despite the existing legal framework, namely the Collective Bargaining Law (Law No. 20-A/92 of August 14), the practice of collective bargaining in Angola remains in its infancy, which compromises both worker protection and business competitiveness.”
