Duarte Lacerda is a Senior Associate in the Energy & Climate Change team.
He focus his activity mainly in energy law, infrastructure law, regulatory law, environmental law, planning law, administrative law, public procurement, and administrative litigation, including contracts, regulation, concessions, licensing, public procurement procedures, and expropriations.
Duarte participated in several acquisition and disposal transactions (energy and infrastructures) at a national and international level. He also provides permanent legal advice, in energy law to several national and foreign clients.
He focuses his activity on renewable energies, namely solar, wind, and hydro, including subjects related to the development and operation of solar and wind energy projects, electric mobility, and decentralized production such as self-consumption (individual and collective) and small production units (Unidades de Pequena Produção).
He has developed and implemented several contractual frameworks for innovative projects, such as C&I projects and renewable gas projects.
Duarte is ranked as Leading Associate for Energy & Natural Resources, by Legal 500, 2025. Moreover, he is recognised for Public Law, by Best Lawyers, 2025.
