Claudia is a bilingual lawyer and a specialist in Labour Law from the Pontifical Xavierian University (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana), with more than 15 years of experience advising domestic and multinational companies on individual and collective labour law, social security, and strategic employment relations. Her career spans leading law firms, public sector entities, and pension fund administrators, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of employment law, regulatory compliance, and workforce management.
Throughout her career, Claudia has led the legal advisory for collective bargaining processes, labour dispute resolution, administrative proceedings, and matters before the Colombian Ministry of Labour. She has extensive experience supporting companies throughout every stage of negotiations with trade unions, including developing negotiation strategies, participating in direct settlement discussions, coordinating strike ballots, establishing arbitration tribunals, monitoring arbitration awards, and representing clients in annulment proceedings before the Supreme Court of Justice. She provides practical, business-oriented legal solutions focused on mitigating risk and ensuring business continuity.
Claudia has also developed a strong practice in employment and social security advisory, providing ongoing counsel to companies on individual and collective employment matters, responding to constitutional and administrative claims, preparing legal opinions, and reviewing employment agreements. Her experience further encompasses the Colombian General Pension System, pension bonds, the Periodic Economic Benefits (BEPS) scheme, and the implementation of international social security agreements. She has also contributed to the development of regulatory guidelines and high-impact legislative and regulatory initiatives.
Over the course of her career, Claudia has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Senior Associate, team leader, and in-house legal adviser for multinational companies. She is recognised for her strong leadership, sound legal judgement, and ability to manage complex employment and labour law matters effectively.
