Ligia María is Counsel at the Firm in the area of Corporate Criminal Law. She holds a Doctorate in Rule of Law and Global Governance from the University of Salamanca, a law degree from the University of Los Andes, specializing in Criminal Law, a master's degree in Criminal Law from the University of Salamanca, and a Master's degree in Evidence Law in Criminal Proceedings from the University of Barcelona.

Ligia María has worked for 10 years in academia and the public sector on topics related to Criminal Law, International Criminal Law, Comparative Law, and Transitional Justice.
