María Paula is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with an emphasis in Commercial Law and Tort Law. She has experience in antitrust, merger control, corporate and commercial law, as well as public affairs.
She has advised national and international clients in investigations related to restrictive competition practices, unfair competition, compliance matters, and merger control proceedings before the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.
She is currently part of the Technology, Media & Communications (TMC) team at CMS Rodríguez-Azuero, where she is on secondment with Google Colombia, supporting Government Affairs initiatives.
She has worked at leading law firms such as Brigard & Urrutia Abogados, where she was involved in complex proceedings in regulated sectors. She was also part of the corporate and M&A team at Serrano Martínez CMA, supporting company incorporation processes and contract review, and at McKitrick Colombia, where she advised on civil, commercial, and labor law matters
