CMS advises growth PE fund Cadence Growth Capital on follow-on investment in Sunshine Smile (PlusDental)

Berlin – Growth PE fund Cadence Growth Capital (CGC) has increased its stake in dental aligner provider Sunshine Smile GmbH (PlusDental). CGC participated in a EUR 35 million financing round. Further investors include the investment companies Jebsen Capital, HV Capital, Lakestar, Kreos Capital and Ping An. In addition, football player Mario Götze is also participating as a new investor.

A CMS team comprising Dr Florian Plagemann (Co-Lead) and Dr Tobias Schneider advised CGC on all relevant aspects of the contract negotiations. CMS has advised CGC on multiple occasions amongst others on its initial investment in PlusDental.

CGC is one of the fastest growing tech-enabled growth private equity firms in the DACH region with a focus on partnerships with high quality companies with strong organic and inorganic growth prospects. CGC invests capital on behalf of over 80 HNWIs from the M&A, PE, corporate und founder community as well as selective institutional investors. Next to PlusDental, CGC is also invested in various other tech-enabled businesses, eg. Sherpany, Everphone, Mitos and Moonfare.

PlusDental is a Berlin based, leading health-tech company, specialising in the digitalisation of dental treatments as a digital dentistry platform. The company has developed a digital platform for aesthetic orthodontic corrections and is treating patients in eight countries together with its network of 200 local partner dentists.
