Berlin – The Haufe Group has sold tax start-up Steuerbot to Taxfix, a tax platform. Details of the sale were not disclosed.
A CMS team headed by lead partners Dr Jörg Zätzsch and Jesko Nobiling advised the Haufe Group on all legal aspects of the transaction. Investors, start-ups and founders of tech companies regularly access the law firm’s expertise.
Steuerbot was established in Stuttgart in 2017 by Jochen Schöllig and Marc Neumann. The company’s app features a chatbot that guides users through completion of their tax return by asking personalised, easy-to-understand questions tailored to their particular situation. Taxfix intends to operate Steuerbot as a separate subsidiary going forward.
