Martin Eichholz advises companies and investors on transactions and financing rounds as well as on general corporate law matters. He has special expertise in the implementation of business models in the mobility sector, with a focus on automated driving systems. Because of his dual German-French legal training he represents French clients as well as German ones.

Martin joined CMS in 2017. Prior to that, he worked for two major law firms as a research assistant.

EUR 118 million of investment: CMS advises INERATEC on Series B financing...
Berlin – INERATEC, a developer and producer of synthetic fuels, has raised EUR 118 million in a Series B round of financing. The round was led by US investor Piva Capital, with HG Ventures, TDK Ventures, Copec WIND Ventures, RockCreek, Emerald and Samsung Ventures also taking stakes. Existing investors also increased their support, including ENGIE New Ventures, Safran Corporate Ventures and Honda. INERATEC intends to use the capital for scaling up production of CO2-neutral e-fuels worldwide. The company plans to convert a gigawatt of renewable energy into 165,000 tonnes of e-fuel by 2030.A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Jörg Zätzsch advised INERATEC on all legal aspects of the financing round. The company has also been advised by CMS in the past. Start-ups, founders of tech companies and investors regularly rely on the expertise of the VC teams at CMS. Karlsruhe-based INERATEC describes itself as a pioneer in the field of power-to-liquid applications. The company supplies e-fuels and chemical products. Established in 2016, it has already implemented industrial-scale power-to-liquid plants at German sites to boost the availability of sustainable fuels and chemicals in various transportation sectors, such as aviation.
