Munich – The independent investment company Egeria has acquired an interest in Junge Die Bäckerei., a leading provider of chain-based bakery and catering concepts in northern Germany. The Junge family will remain closely associated with the company as shareholder and in an advisory capacity. Together with Egeria, the company is pursuing the goal of further expanding its market position in existing regions and strategically expanding into new markets. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.
A CMS team led by Dr Michael Wangemann advised Junge Holding GmbH on the sale.
Junge Die Bäckerei. was founded in Lübeck in 1897 by the Junge family and today operates over 200 stores in six federal states and has over 5,000 employees.
