Düsseldorf – Start-up Aparkado has secured funding as part of a seed round of financing. Jens Thiermann, IT entrepreneur and founder of the Timocom digital freight exchange, has invested in the company. Aparkado intends to use the investment to continue its growth, including expanding its sales force.
A Düsseldorf-based CMS team headed by lead counsels Christopher Freiherr von Lilien-Waldau and Philippe Heinzke advised Aparkado on all relevant legal aspects of the round of financing and other structuring aspects. Aparkado is a member of equIP, CMS’s dedicated start-up support programme. CMS regularly advises start-ups and investors on financing rounds.
Established in early 2020, Aparkado UG (an entrepreneurial company with limited liability) is a Cologne-based start-up that has developed an intelligent parking management system for truck drivers. Using satellite images and a dynamic algorithm, the Aparkado app allows drivers to book parking spaces along motorways and plan routes.
