Munich - Global wireless communications infrastructure provider Phoenix Tower International is acquiring the German subsidiary of Dutch NOVEC BV. Berlin-based Novec GmbH is an independent provider of antenna sites in Germany and the Netherlands. The company currently operates 220 telecommunication sites and plays a key role in deploying critical infrastructure for mobile operators in Germany. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for Phoenix Tower International as it enters the German telecommunications market. With the strategic investment, the US-based company plans to expand its service offering, streamline operations and expand network coverage in Germany, especially across more rural locations without coverage.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the coming months.
A CMS team led by Lead Partner Dr Oliver Thurn provided comprehensive legal advice to Phoenix Tower International on the acquisition.
