Ute Bartholomä advises mostly medium-sized companies on all aspects of employment law and social security law as well as on works constitution matters. She is a valued partner for her clients to discuss their business challenges and provides them with expert opinions on a wide variety of legal issues. More specifically, she is particularly experienced with service agreements for executive management members and handles Statusfeststellungsverfahren, a procedure that determines the status of German workers as either dependent (employee) or independent (self-employed contractors such as consultants) for social insurance purposes. She also regularly advises on labor leasing and secondments.
Ute joined CMS in 2001 and has been a counsel since 2012. Prior to that she worked as head of human resources and in-house lawyer at a medium-sized cosmetics company. Ute started her legal career with a predecessor of what is now a large international law firm in Germany.
