Düsseldorf, 26.08.2024 – International property developer Scannell Properties is constructing a refrigerated warehouse for supermarket chain Lidl. The new-build project is being developed in the Bavarian town of Hollfeld, on a 58,000 square metre site that Scannell Properties acquired for this purpose. The new warehouse in the Hollfeld Nord industrial estate will provide around 12,000 square metres of space for interim storage and distribution of goods to Lidl’s supply centres within Germany. Construction work is scheduled to start by the beginning of 2025, with commissioning expected in January 2026. The refrigerated goods warehouse will be let to Lidl on a long-term lease.
A CMS team headed by partner Philipp Schönnenbeck advised Scannell Properties on all legal aspects of the transaction. CMS teams headed by lead partner Philipp Schönnenbeck regularly advise Scannell Properties, with a recent example being the sale of a logistics property in the industrial park in Kitzingen (Bavaria).
