Stuttgart – idverde, Europe’s leading provider of grounds maintenance services and landscape creation projects, which is majority-owned by private equity investor Core Equity Holdings, has acquired Jörg Seidenspinner Garten- und Landschaftsbau GmbH. The acquisition of this Stuttgart-based company marks idverde’s successful entry into the German market.

A CMS team headed by lead partner Dr Jochen Lamb advised Seidenspinner on all legal aspects of the transaction.

Seidenspinner was established in 1905 and has been family-owned ever since. It is a major gardening and landscaping service provider in the Stuttgart region, and was involved in the German Federal Garden Show in 2019. Seidenspinner’s other projects include the “Grüne Fuge Stuttgart” park, the outdoor areas of the Heilbronn Education Campus and those of the Outletcity Metzingen shopping centre.

idverde, based in Levallois-Perret, France, is regarded as Europe’s leading provider of grounds maintenance services and landscape creation projects. The group has around 8,000 employees across more than 150 branches. It generated sales of EUR 800 million in 2020, according to its own figures. The service portfolio includes garden and landscape design for outdoor and indoor areas of almost every kind, such as parks, company sites, sports fields and playgrounds, leisure facilities, shopping centres, transport facility and infrastructure projects, as well as indoor, façade and roof greening.
