CMS advises Treasury Intelligence Solutions on the acquisition of Cashforce

20/06/2022

Munich – Treasury Intelligence Solutions (TIS) acquires Cashforce, a Belgium-based FinTech start-up offering AI-based cash management and cash forecasting solutions. The acquisition of Cashforce is the first takeover of the Heidelberg-based B2B payment specialist TIS. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.

An international CMS team led by partners Stefan-Ulrich Müller and Dr Jessica Mohaupt-Schneider provided comprehensive legal advice to TIS on the transaction. The company thus continues to rely on the expertise of CMS lawyers. Most recently, the Munich-based venture capital team assisted TIS in raising a credit facility from venture debt provider Kreos Capital and in financing rounds.

With its experience in B2B payments, cloud architecture and know-how in bank connectivity, TIS has been assisting companies, banks and consulting firms worldwide to optimise outgoing payment processes since 2010 and has grown significantly over the last years. As part of the acquisition, Cashforce's cash management solutions will be fully integrated into TIS' SaaS payments platform.

Cashforce was founded in 2013 by Nicolas Christiaen and Bart Claes and operates offices in New York, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and London. So far, in addition to the company's founders, both strategic investors and financial investors had invested in the FinTech.
