Berlin – Commercial law firm CMS Germany has appointed four new partners with effect from the turn of 2022/2023. These appointments strengthen the partnership in the strategically important Employment, Banking, Finance & Insurance, Corporate/M&A and Tax practice areas.

“We have again been able to appoint four outstanding individuals as partners from the coming year. As well as being notable for technical excellence, they all also have the entrepreneurial talent required to make a major contribution to the future success of CMS Germany. I would like to congratulate the new partners and I very much look forward to continuing working with them,” commented Dr Martin Vorsmann, Managing Partner of CMS Germany.

The appointment of the new partners sees CMS once again focusing on talent from within the law firm’s own ranks. “We firmly believe that promoting and developing in-house talent has a positive long-term impact on the firm’s development,” said Dr Vorsmann.

Successful year for CMS Germany

The progress made by the firm is also reflected in the numerous awards received, in particular in recognition of its case work. At this year’s JUVE Awards, for example, CMS was named Law Firm of the Year 2022 and garnered awards in five other categories (Regulation, Technology and Media, Dispute Resolution, Distribution, Trade and Logistics, and Region East).

CMS Germany also performed impressively in the “Kanzleimonitor” survey for the ninth year in a row, taking top spot in the overall ranking. CMS was additionally shown to offer the broadest coverage in the market, with recommendations for 31 out of 32 areas of law. The survey is based on an annual poll of heads of corporate legal departments by the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Lawyers (diruj). “All these accolades spur us on to continue offering our clients top-class legal services in the coming year. I am confident that we will perform exceptionally well with the aid of the newly appointed partners,” Dr Vorsmann concluded.
