Hamburg – Insurance brokerage company MSH International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SIACI Saint Honoré, has acquired a majority stake in the BDAE Group. For the international insurance brokerage group, this majority acquisition marks a successful entry into the German market.
A team headed by lead partner Dr Eckart Gottschalk advised the parent company, SIACI Saint Honoré, on all legal aspects of acquiring the majority shareholding.
MSH International develops and manages international healthcare, death and disability insurance policies for people working worldwide. The range of services is targeted at employees of multinationals, small and medium enterprises as well as international organisations. Operating out of four regional head offices in Calgary, Paris, Dubai and Shanghai, plus 14 service offices worldwide, MSH International supports around 2,000 corporate clients and more than 300,000 insured members across 200 countries.
Hamburg-based BDAE Group was formed in 1995 as “Bund der Auslands-Erwerbstätigen (BDAE) e.V.”; it offers international insurance solutions for people who work and live abroad. The group also supports and advises companies posting employees abroad with regard to all aspects of international insurance cover.
SIACI Saint Honoré is a leading provider of brokerage and advisory services in the French and international insurance markets. The group provides services primarily to large and medium size companies around the management of property-related and personal insurance risks. The Paris-based company currently has 2,200 employees and 2.2 million policyholders.
