Antonia Bielefeld specialises in competition, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical advertising law as well as related areas of product compliance such as packaging law.
She advises in particular on the creation of advertising concepts and marketing measures, as well as the labelling and packaging of products, with a particular focus on regulatory issues. She specialises in the area of fast moving consumer goods. She also advises clients on the effective protection of their trade secrets under the German Trade Secrets Act (GeschGehG) and on appropriate confidentiality measures. A further focus of her work is representing clients in court in both preliminary injunction proceedings and main proceedings. In particular, she represents clients in disputes relating to unfair competition (UWG), e.g. misleading advertising or product labelling or deliberate obstruction, food law and the disclosure of business and trade secrets. She also assists clients with official complaints.
Antonia Bielefeld has been a lawyer at CMS since 2013 and was appointed Counsel in 2018. She gained in-house experience during secondments to the legal departments of a large German cosmetics retailer (2016-2017) and a leading international food group (2021). In this context, she advised in particular on the compliance of cosmetic products, marketing concepts for food and animal feed and environment-related advertising claims.
