Kai Roters advises German and international companies on all employment law issues related to restructurings and reorganisations, particularly negotiations with works councils on works council agreements, reconciliations of interests and social compensation plans. In the context of transactions, he focusses on employment-related due diligence issues and the structuring of transfers of undertakings. He also regularly advises on the establishment and termination of employment relationships, including representing companies in dismissal protection proceedings in tribunals.
In addition, Kai focusses on providing strategic advice on corporate co-determination matters and the foundation of European Companies (SE-Societas Europaea), including the implementation of international employee participation procedures and negotiating participation agreements.
Kai joined CMS in 2019. He was named Counsel in 2025.
