Katrin Rohr-Suchalla specialises in private construction law and all legal aspects pertaining to architects and engineers. Her clients include general contractors, developers, public authorities, medium-sized companies and large groups. She has particular expertise advising on construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects, such as airports, large residential and commercial developments, hotels, sewage plants, tunnels, bridges and track construction. Katrin draws up contracts and negotiates them on behalf of her clients and her work also includes providing ongoing advice during the construction phase of major projects and coordinating warranty management. In cases of conflict she represents her clients in court and arbitration proceedings, in particular defending them against claims.
Katrin started her legal career in 1997 with a firm which specialised in representing clients in Higher Regional Court cases. She joined CMS in 1998 and was made partner in 2003. Katrin is also regularly invited to speak on private construction law topics.
