Chapter 6 – Switching between cloud service providers
In Chapter 6 of our "Data Act Unlocked" video series, we take a closer look at the new requirements the Data Act entails for cloud service providers. While the previous chapters have focused on access to and the transfer of IoT data, now we turn our attention to another key objective of the Data Act: making it easier to switch between cloud services and use them in parallel.
The chapter shows which providers could be affected in the future, what new obligations they can expect – from contractual adjustments to extended transparency and information obligations through to technical requirements – and what impact this could have on the cloud landscape.
