George Iles is an Associate in the Corporate team, he joined CMS upon qualifying as a solicitor in November 2021.

George is an expert in business mergers, acquisitions and disposals and is also experienced in company reorganisations and private equity matters. George acts for a range of clients worldwide, from large PLCs and private equity houses to mid-sized privately owned companies.

Relevant experience

Led multiple UK based acquisitions of privately owned SMEs by a large manufacturing PLC.
Supported senior partners on GBP 250m+ complex share reorganisation and disposal of leading national vehicle dealership.
Acted closely with the CMS Dubai office for a UAE Buyer on a multi-million-pound UK share acquisition.
Advised and acted for well-known sports fashion brand on multiple competitor acquisitions.
