Kirsten Partridge is partner in the Real Estate Team at CMS Glasgow specialising in retail leasing and development, investment sales and purchases, with a particular focus on institutional investors, and project management.

Kirsten acts for clients including Land Securities, TH Real Estate and Aberdeen Asset Management and has worked has worked on some of the most significant retail developments in Scotland including Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow, the Edinburgh St James development, Overgate in Dundee, Hermiston Gait in Edinburgh, The Centre in Livingston, and Bon Accord & St Nicholas in Aberdeen.

Kirsten has been advising retail landlords for over 8 years and has excellent commercial and legal expertise is this area. She is a key member of CMS’s Retail Landlords' group which specialises in the acquisition, development and asset management of shopping centres, retail parks and other retail/leisure assets.

Her experience in retail development covers the whole range of development work, from initial acquisitions and development agreements through to letting, financing and disposing of completed projects. Often this includes leading or working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with experts from the Construction, Planning, Projects, Litigation and Corporate teams.

  • Land Securities on the redevelopment of Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow including lettings to anchor retail, cinema and leisure tenants.
  • Aberdeen Asset Management on the majority of their Scottish investment acquisitions and disposals.
  • Land Securities on the asset management for their Scottish retail portfolio.
  • UNITE on the disposal and refinancing of a number of their Scottish student accommodations.

  • Land Securities in the development of a major mixed use development site on Buchanan Street, Glasgow comprising 9 major retail stores and 49 apartments, from the initial site acquisition from an insolvent seller, the development and execution of an acquisition and vacant possession strategy within the framework of an existing CPO and indemnity arrangement, setting up of a deed of conditions to govern the interface between the retail and the residential elements and finally to the financing, letting and the sale of the apartments.
