Kirsten is a partner in our Scottish real estate team who focuses primarily on real estate investment, development and asset management with a particular focus on the retail sector with detailed knowledge of the current trends, issues and key players in this sector. She works on a variety of large and complex projects for investors, developers and landlords including Landsec, Mileway and Nuveen Real Estate.
Kirsten, along with the other real estate partners based in Scotland with the support of the wider CMS network, can support clients across the full life of an asset: from financing, acquisition, development, asset management and eventual exit.
Kirsten’s has a strong reputation in the Scottish property market particularly in asset management with a leading client saying “I never fail to be impressed by the level of dedication and commitment she demonstrates on a daily basis. Kirsten is an integral part of the client leasing team within which she works closely with all parties to ensure clear and concise non legal input is incorporated within the legal agreements and that the non-legal parties within the team fully understand the detail and more importantly practical implications of drafting being agreed”.
Kirsten is also the CMS representative on the Property Standardisation Group, which produces, maintains and updates agreed forms of documents and procedures for Scottish commercial property transactions. She is also part of the Scottish Tech & Innovation Working Group focusing on investment in and harnessing of technology and innovation in legal services.
