EBA/FCA: Guidelines on sound remuneration policies/Opinion on the application of proportionality
EBA has published guidelines and an opinion in respect of remuneration, the latter of which suggests that legislative action be taken in order to clarify and ensure that the CRD IV remuneration requirements are applied consistently across the EU. In its press release, FCA emphasises to firms that they should note that the implementation date for the Guidelines is now 1 January 2017 and the rules will first apply to the 2017 performance year. FCA will, together with PRA and HMT, review the changes proposed by the guidelines and their application to the UK market.
