17:00 - Welcome and introduction by Dóra Petrányi (CEE Managing Director, Global Co-Head of Technology, Media and Communications, CMS)

17:05 - Fireside chat about AI in the financial services sector with Katalin Horváth (Senior Counsel, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, CMS) and special guest speaker Gabriella Biró, Head of IT Supervision at the Central Bank of Hungary (CBH), covering among others the following topics:

  • initiatives and goals in the CBH to attract more women pursuing an IT, IT security, or AI career within the CBH and in the financial services sector in general,
  • status of the CBH and the banking sector in the European landscape regarding in use of AI and areas AI used the most in the sector,
  • the CBH’s view of the European AI Act and related AI Liability Directive and their role in the sector, including plans on issuing a recommendation in this regard
  • specific issues for the banking and fintech sectors using AI, including what market players should consider,  
  • the best ways to implement cybersecurity and cyber resilience requirements (CBH recommendations, DORA regulation) when using AI.
