Eszter Török is an English law-qualified partner at CMS Budapest. She supports the work of our finance and corporate/M&A departments, contributing her expertise in corporate and finance law.
Eszter has played a significant role in numerous financing and portfolio transfer transactions, utilising her in-depth knowledge in company acquisitions, project finance, refinancing/restructuring and portfolio sales, as well as her expertise in regulatory matters related to financial law.
Eszter holds dual qualification as a lawyer in Hungary and as a solicitor of England and Wales, enhancing her ability to handle complex legal issues across different jurisdictions.
Her extensive experience also includes negotiating commercial contracts, advising on corporate law and corporate governance issues, and advising on various M&A transactions, particularly in the financial services sector.
Eszter started her career with CMS in the Budapest and London offices between 1995 and 2004. She then joined Teva Pharmaceuticals where she worked as General Counsel of the Hungarian Teva Group. She rejoined CMS in 2015.
Between July 2020 and December 2021 Eszter was on full-time secondment to EBRD, working as counsel in the OGC Banking Department.
