CMS Hasche Sigle ranked no. 1 in all three lists of Bloomberg's German Mid-Market M&A
rankings for 2008. The top German commercial law firm earned first place in the category M&A
deals up to USD 50 million, first place in the list up to USD 250 million and first place for the
category up to USD 500 million. In the two mid-cap categories up to USD 50 million and under USD
250 million, CMS Hasche Sigle leads not only by deal count, but also by deal volume.
For Cornelius Brandi, Managing Partner of CMS Hasche Sigle, the continued top-rankings “display
CMS Hasche Sigle’s very successful year 2008, not only in our own view. I am pleased to see that
the high-quality of our legal advice is also reflected in the rankings. We are confident as we
begin 2009."
CMS Hasche Sigle has also significantly improved its year-end rankings in other German mergers
& acquisitions rankings (M&A) by the leading business news services. The firm jumped from a
fifth place ranking in 2007 to second place with mergermarket. In Bloomberg's overall ranking CMS
Hasche Sigle improved from third to second place. CMS Hasche Sigle also improved its ranking with
Thomson Reuters.
Dr Thomas Meyding, partner at CMS Hasche Sigle (Corporate, Stuttgart), is pleased with "the
success of CMS and the teams involved. Our cross-border approach with dedicated international teams
is paying off. The results in the league tables document our top position in the German M&A
market."
