This EC paper, prepared by the DG for Internal Policies, considers the state and the main difficulties of the implementation of Directive 2008/48/EC on credit agreements for consumers using the examples of fourteen Member States of the EU and analyses the regulation of credit agreements which fall outside the scope of the Directive.
