CMS Webinar: The State of Renewables in Latin America

Past event
24 September 2020, 17:00 - 18:30 UTC +01:00

Demand for renewable energy has been on the rise for years now. With it’s natural potential, governmental support and increasing investments, Latin America is an important region for the development of new renewables projects. However, the renewables sector in Latin America is facing the challenges of a global pandemic, economic crisis and changing government priorities.

How are Latin America’s renewables markets affected by COVID-19 disruptions and the new normal? How quickly will the sector recover from the effects of the pandemic, and will the region see a return to growth for green energy?

Taking into account recent legal and policy developments and COVID-19’s impact on the sector, CMS experts from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru will discuss the state of the market in these jurisdictions, including:

  • Current status of the renewable energy investments
  • Regulatory challenges
  • Trends and opportunities in the region
  • COVID19 impact on the renewable sector

This webinar is aimed at investors, sponsors/developers, lenders and advisers actively involved in or considering entering into renewable energy in Latin America.

The session runs for 90 minutes, including a Q&A, and will be in English. Participation is free of charge.

We look forward to talking to you!
